The motto for the WWE in 2010 was "Out with the old and in with the new". ECW was replaced by NXT, Smackdown moved to SyFy, and new champions were crowned.
We saw the NXT Season One Rookies (known as the Nexus) invade the Viewers Choice episode of Monday Night RAW, RAW hiring a faceless general manager who communicated only via the email, and new superstars such as Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio debuting with flying colors, while old favorites such as Shawn Michaels and Batista bid adieu.
