Okay, we all know AJ Styles has been a World Champion before in TNA. However, he has yet to hold the TNA World Heavyweight Title. He did win the NWA/TNA Title, but that was well over four years ago.
Do you see that number? Four freaking years ago. See, AJ Styles, considered one of the best wrestlers in the world today, was massively misused in TNA for almost half a decade.
Why? Because TNA thought it had to put the old, tired veterans in the World Title spotlight.
This was and still is very wrong. Guys like Mick Foley are no longer believable World Champions, and giving them the title and AJ a tag or "Legends" Championship is insulting not only to the fans, but Styles himself.
They finally gave respect to him ...
