CM Punk had just retained his WWE Championship belt with a thrilling victory over Chris Jericho, in one of the thrillers of WrestleMania 28. Less than 24 hours later, Punk was back in the ring with his belt on the line against the 400-pound Mark Henry on Monday Night Raw—with a bad back.
Where’s the respect for the champ?
Well, in a way it was his fault. As new owner of Raw and SmackDown, John Laurinaitis was introducing a new era in WWE. Punk proceeded to called him out by labeling him a tool box.
