After reading my fellow Bleacher Mike Shannon's article on why the Intercontinental Championship has been a joke, I got to thinking about how the Intercontinental Championship could win back its prestige. Uniting it with the United States Championship would do the trick.

Instead, the focus on SmackDown is Triple H vs. The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes, Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian and The Corre vs. Big Show and Kane.
