Wrestleheat.com and others are now reporting from last night's (02/01/11) Smackdown taping that Booker T (A.K.A King Booker) is the newest member of the Friday night broadcast team.
According to reports, Booker debuted on the show with a spin-a-roonie in the middle of the ring, then joined the panel behind the microphones. It looks like he has replaced Matt Striker and will now be joining Michael Cole and Josh Matthews.
It is also being reported that he will wrestle periodically, somewhat like the Jerry "The King" Lawler of Friday Night Smackdown.
It looks like he has signed a multiple year contract.
