WWE News: Booker T Back on WWE TV, But Where?
Following the huge pop Booker T received at the Royal Rumble, PWInsider.com is reporting that the WWE creative team discussed having a three-week feud between Booker and Sheamus, but the idea was quickly dropped.
Instead, Booker appeared at Tuesday's Smackdown taping as the WWE's newest announcer. He replaced Matt Striker and will join Michael Cole and Josh Mathews on this Friday's episode of Smackdown.
Booker, who has signed a long-term contract with the company, will have a role similar to Jerry Lawler, where he both wrestles and announces.
