Last night on Monday Night Raw, CM Punk/Paul Heyman and Mick Foley announced they would be the captains of the traditional five-on-five Survivor Series match at the upcoming pay-per-view in three weeks, and they also announced who would be on their teams.CM Punk will lead his team, followed by The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and Team Rhodes Scholars, while Team Foley consists of Ryback, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston and Team Hell No.When I first heard about the match and saw the teams, my initial reaction was a positive one. WWE’s Undercard Must Show Their Worth at Survivor Series
On October - 30 - 2012
Last night’s episode of WWE Raw saw the announcement of one of the biggest Survivor Series matches in recent memory. The concentration of high-level talent given to this bout is shocking, as it incorporates the WWE, Intercontinental and tag champions and all the No. 1 contenders for the respective belts. On top of that are the opposing pair of Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio, who have a combined 11 major championship runs between them. It is set to be a great match, but using this much talent will expose the WWE’s undercard since a normal pay-per-view would get at ...
WWE Hell in a Cell 2012: Why WWE Had a Great Night at Latest PPV
On October - 30 - 2012
While I didn't personally have very high hopes heading into Sunday's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, the WWE pleasantly surprised me. There was a total lack of build when it came to the undercard, and there was probably too much emphasis placed on the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Ryback, but it was ultimately an entertaining show. Not only was there good action from top to bottom, but the WWE set itself up really well for Survivor Series and beyond. There are several intriguing storylines worth following and plenty of buzz surrounding both world titles, so it's difficult to ...
Kurt Angle Blasts WWE for Stealing Ideas from TNA
On October - 30 - 2012
Over at his official Twitter account earlier today, current TNA star and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle blasted WWE for stealing creative ideas from his employer, noting various similarities between the two wrestling products. Angle, a former WWE wrestler who parted ways with the company in August 2006, first of all accused WWE of ripping off TNA with the current John Cena/AJ scandal storyline, which sees Vickie Guerrero accuse the duo of carrying on a secret affair: Staged "affair" between AJ Lee & @JohnCena, w/date pic & hotel video? WWE outright lifting TNA concepts? Angle is almost certainly referring to TNA's infamous AJ Styles/Dixie Carter/Claire Lynch storyline from earlier this year, which ...

On October - 30 - 2012
A new player entered the main event scene as WWE presented their latest pay-per-view, Hell in a Cell, shown live in the early hours of this past Monday morning on Sky Sports here in Britain. The show began with a battle of former champions as Alberto Del Rio went up against Randy Orton. This proved to be a highly intense and enjoyable encounter. Del Rio began his night’s work by working over Orton’s arm in preparation for his cross arm breaker. It was a great display from the Mexican as he took the Viper down time and time again. Orton ...
