Ranking The Rookies: WWE NXT Season 2 Final Analysis
On August - 31 - 2010
With another several weeks in the books, WWE’s experimental prototype program appears to be at an apex.
NXT Season 2 was easily overshadowed by the decision to book a new faction, the Nexus, entirely comprised of Season 1’s competitors.
That said, the quality of participants may have been far greater than we could have expected when they were first announced. After a thorough investigation and three months of programming with an Evil Michael Cole, here now is a more accurate projection of how the rookies would have ranked within any pro wrestling universe.

WWE RAW: Kane and Nexus Try To Rid WWE Of Undertaker. No More Phenom?
On August - 31 - 2010
Hey WWE Universe. Last night was epic. Raw started out with a legand to open the show, Bret "the Hitman" Hart.
Bret was saying that when he first emerged on the scene, Undertaker was there on hand as well. He continued, by saying "900 episodes and 17 years later, we are still around".
Just about then, Smackdown Champion, Kane, came out. As soon as he heard his brother's name, he had to get in the ring and ridicule Taker.
He was saying that his brother, as well as Bret Hart, are old and feebled, tattered, and worn out. Kane also commented that the ...
My Angry Letter To Vince McMahon
On August - 31 - 2010
Note: I'm not actually sending this letter to Vince as he wouldn't ever receive it, nor would he actually read it. But after watching the 900th episode of RAW last night I needed to get some things off my chest. So, while Vince may not read it, the B/R peeps will, and they are free to agree or disagree without persecution, unlike working for Vince. It's a little wordy, so if you're looking for a quick article, this isn't the place.
Dear Mr. McMahon,
I have been a wrestling fan, more specifically a WWE fan, since I was 8 years old in ...
Playing The Face Card: Will The Face Of ROH Wrestling Please Stand Up?
On August - 31 - 2010
Note: For those who are unaware of Ring of Honor, I’m so sorry for your loss.To quote the utterly delightful, Ashley Morris, who once quoted Lance Storm, I’d like to be serious for about two and a half minutes or so.With wrestling pundits and priests everywhere pondering and pontificating about whether unifying titles, neck injuries, career-threatening statements and wacky weddings merit any kind of actual, meaningful discourse, I thought it’s about time we shine a little torch on the promotion that’s established its own place in both the hearts and minds of many a wrestling fan.ROH stands for Ring of ...
WWE: Tag Teams, Women, Brands? Is Unification The Way Forward?
On August - 31 - 2010
In the build up to Wrestlemania XXV, Carlito and Primo Colon challenged John Morrison and The Miz to a match that would Unify the WWE and World Tag Team Championships, as well as the Tag Team Division in general, giving the Champions the power to appear on any brand.
Last Night, on the WWE's 900th Episode of RAW, Melina accepted the challenge of Unifying the Women's and Divas Championship, in a match at Night of Champions, in a Lumberjill Match. Many Internet Journalists saw this coming, due to the publicly accepted "The Divas Championship means nothing."
Interesting.
Many Internet Wrestling Sites are now ...
WWE Raw Episode #900: The Review and Thoughts
On August - 31 - 2010
So yesterday, many people were expecting Raw to be a great episode. Many people were expecting some surprise returns and others were expecting the GM to be revealed. Sadly, nothing surprising happened, and when I mean nothing, I mean nothing.
There wasn't any hype for this show at all last week, except for Laycool announcing they were going to be at the show to make an offer to Melina. The 5 on 5 elimination match was announced the day of the show.
Many people were expecting this to be a great show, but it ended up being a regular Raw ...
The Push Vs. The Job: The Inevitability of The De-Push
On August - 31 - 2010
John Morrison. Gail Kim. Yoshi Tatsu. A.J. Styles. Evan Bourne. Triple H. Mickie James. Shelton Benjamin. Jay Lethal. Jamie Noble. Jack Swagger. Sylvester Turkey and Elijah Burke. Abyss. Monty Brown. Christian. MVP. Petey Williams. Sonjay Dutt. Awesome Kong.
These superstars and wrestlers are just a few of the people that have fallen victim to the infamous "de-push."
Pro wrestling fans know all about the de-push. One moment, your favorite superstar is placed in a high profile feud with a red hot gimmick and instantly becomes the center of attention in the company.
One or two matches later, perhaps even after a pay per view ...
Panic Alert: Chris Jericho Says It’s Win or Go Home At Night of Champions
On August - 31 - 2010
Last night on Monday Night Raw, the IWC got a huge scare during Josh Matthews backstage interview with Chris Jericho.
Jericho said that if he does not win the Six-Pack Challenge at Night of Champions, then he is walking out. Although that has been said by superstars in the past with it having no real meaning to it whatsoever, this time it may be serious.
Chris Jericho’s contract is expiring and we have yet to hear news about him signing a new deal with the WWE which has wrestling fans like myself worried.
Jericho happens to be a rare breed of wrestler who ...
Karen Angle Marries Jeff Jarrett?!
On August - 31 - 2010
Karen Angle has recently changed her twitter ID to "Karen Jarrett."
The couple must have recently said their “I Dos” this month as they have been engaged since April of this year.
How does this happen? How does Kurt walk by him in the hall? What about the kids Kyrad, 8, and Kody, 4, that Karen and Kurt have together? How does mommy explain now she’s with the man Daddy wrestles against. Are you kidding me?!
Yes there’s a “code” between guys. But there should be a code between professionals, too, and I would think even more so with professional wrestlers. People who have to ...
Tuesdays at TNA: Where Are the Heels?
On August - 31 - 2010
Welcome back to Tuesdays at TNA, where we discuss the hottest topics in Dixieland!
We are less than one week away from No Surrender, which will feature the semifinals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament, and I noticed something odd. Yes, I know that everyone remaining in the bracket (Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, Mr. Anderson, and The Pope) are known more for their time in WWE than being actual "TNA homegrown" stars, but that they are all FACES!
This has been a longstanding problem in TNA for quite some time, as they still have no concept on how to build up a ...
