Do My Eyes Decieve Me, Or Is Punk Turning Heel?

Posted by lee raydean On June - 30 - 2009
What is going on with CM Punk? I mean, what in the hell is he thinking? At the Bash in his match with Jeff Hardy, I saw a side of Punk that I didn't like. I don't think his fans did either. They must be in shock like I am. A lot of fans probably all did a double take. I still can't believe he actually got himself disqualified in order to retain his belt. In a match at The Bash, CM Punk faced Jeff Hardy for the championship. When Punk was introduced, he didn't get the reaction from the crowd that ...

Posted by Ethan Huggins On June - 29 - 2009
Just 24 hours ago, The Bash had a great array of twist and turns. How will everything turn out? Join me as I report tonight's Monday Night Raw, post-Bash. Vince McMahon comes out to welcome a special guest tonight: none other than Batista. He announces a four man Night of Champions tournament for the number one contender ship for the WWE Title. First it's John Cena vs. The Miz and the second match is MVP vs. Triple H. This brings out the Legacy and they are not happy. Batista makes Orton a match tonight, a three on one gauntlet match. Night ...

The Results and Aftermath Of WWE’s The Bash

Posted by Danny Starry On June - 29 - 2009
Another PPV has come and gone and as many predicted, The Bash left something to be desired. Some of the matches did prove to be exciting; however, the majority of the PPV was less than what I had hoped for.   Match 1: Scramble Match for ECW Championship between Christian, Jack Swagger, Finlay, Mark Henry, and Tommy Dreamer (defending). This match was much like the previous scramble matches that WWE had provided. Christian and Swagger started off, followed by Finlay, Tommy Dreamer, and finally Mark Henry. Swagger started things off by pinning Finlay soon after Finlay entered; however, Finlay soon earned a pinfall of ...

Joe’s 411: B/R Pro-Wrestling News (June 28)

Posted by Joe Burgett On June - 28 - 2009
Welcome to an all-new Joe's 411: B/R Pro-Wrestling News, the June 28 edition. As always, there is a lot of news to get to, so let's get started.   Big Show update As many probably know by now, the Big Show (Paul Wight) is in a lawsuit with SoBe Entertainment. SoBe claims they bought a $1 million house for White, plus $84,000 a month on Wight's promise that it could manage him as he trained to become a pro boxer. As we know, the boxing career didn't turn out well for Wight. Therefore, the issue came up between SoBe and Wight. He also failed to tell ...
This may be the most important thing I ever write..... "People hate what they do not understand." Many a wrestling fan wonder why people dislike wrestling. I myself enjoy all sports. I watch baseball and basketball with my grandfather and will sit down and watch football with my dad. I like all sports. Wrestling however, has always been my favorite. Calling professional wrestling a sport has been a topic of huge controversy. Many believe that because it is scripted and "made up" that it cannot be called a sport even though it does require training and talent. This argument's biggest blow is that it ...

Bobby Lashley Vs. Bob Sapp: Tonight!

Posted by Anthony Hammett On June - 27 - 2009
Bobby Lashley will try to take another step in his pursuit of an MMA career tonight when he faces his toughest opponent yet. Bob Sapp will be the first "established" fighter Lashley has had to square off against the squared octagon. Out-weighing Lashley by over 70 pounds, Sapp clearly has the size advantage over the former WWE superstar to go along with the MMA experience. Sapp has an MMA record of 10-4-1, facing Lashley's 3-0 record in MMA fights. Lashley was a former Army Ranger and WWE Superstar. He also has amateur wrestling background experience, which makes me him very versatile when it comes ...

Ryan Michael & Shane Howard Talk One-on-One About Randy Orton

Posted by Ryan Michael On June - 27 - 2009
Pro Wrestling Community Leader Shane Howard and I have been known to disagree from time to time. So while I don't feel that either one of us has ever taken anything personally, I did feel that it would be interesting to exchange views on my personal favorite subject—Randy Orton. I am of the opinion that Orton is underrated and I imagine that Shane is of the view that he is overrated. So, I contacted Shane directly, and he was more than willing to exchange views. The following is what we had to say about the subject (Ryan's answers are in bold; Shane's are not).   1. You feel ...

TNA’s Beer Money, Inc: Order Me Another Round

Posted by Shane H. On June - 26 - 2009
It's now only natural after someone shouts the word "Beer" you respond with "Money." Total Nonstop Action (TNA), known for it's aging main-event talent pool and overbooked finishes, has done some good. They have given us one of the better tag teams in recent memory in Beer Money, Inc. So just who are the fellows who are every bartender's favorite patrons?   Robert Roode Perhaps one of the most well-rounded wrestlers in TNA today, Roode (no relation to Rick Rude) has come a long way since his days training with Val Venis in Canada. Back in 2004, Roode would show up on TNA as a ...
